When the Sun goes down tonight, step outside and take a look southwest. A slender crescent Moon is fast approaching Venus for a good looking conjunction on New Years Eve.
Meanwhile, closer to the horizon, Mercury and Jupiter are converging for their own conjunction on 31st December.
