Dean,
I believe the postcode for the hall is CM8 3HR but beware that this postcode likely won’t take you direct to the hall’s location. I’d suggest checking out the location on Google Maps as well.

Hello, I found details of the NEAS in Astronomy Now and would like to become a member. I am a complete novice and have recently been bought a telescope as a gift. Unfortunately I am having difficulty in setting up the alignment and wondered if it would be appropriate for me to bring the telescope with me to one of your events in the hope that someone could help me to set it up? The scope is a Celestron NexStar 130SLT.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Kindest regards,
Sarah Esson

You are more than welcome to bring your telescope along to one of our meetings. I’m sure there will be someone who can help you out.

Hi There,
I’m trying to find out if there are any amateur astonomy clubs/societies near my home town – Harlow in Essex. I have found the website for the Loughton Astonomical Society but wondered if there are any others that you know of.
Many thanks – Wendy

There are six clubs in Essex, details of which can be found here:
http://www.fedastro.org.uk/cgi-bin/cms-society.php#England
However, none of them are that close to Harlow unfortunately. Us (at Witham) and LoughtonAS (at Theydon Bois) are probably nearest.
Hope that helps – David
