Neil Parker spent 22 years working for the Royal Greenwich Observatory designing, building and operating telescopes and observatories for professional astronomers around the world. Following that he has run Green Witch for 11 years supporting the amateur community. In this talk he compares their equipment, methods, attitudes and aptitudes. How do their equipment and methods compare? Which make better customers? Can they work together? A look behind the scenes in the professional world will reveal a few surprises and some personal insights.

The public meeting takes place at the Henry Dixon Hall, Rivenhall End on Wednesday 20th January at 7:30pm.  For further details see the Events page.
