June Public Meeting – Where Do We Come From?
For our meeting this month we welcome back Chris Jones:
“Where Do We Come From?”
From the big bang to McDonalds and the credit crunch, Chris Jones will be telling the story of the early universe through nucleosynthesis, supernovae and the world see today.
Many accounts of the origin of the universe tell a story of great brilliance and clarity. The questions “Why are we here?” and “Where did we come from?” are very good ones, and we all find ourselves asking them on the day we begin to grow up.
Why is our Universe the way we see it to be? And what will ultimately become of it? Since the discovery that the Universe is expanding, we have made some significant steps in understanding how the Universe began and how it must have evolved to be what it is today.
The public meeting takes place at the Henry Dixon Hall, Rivenhall End on Wednesday 16th June at 7:30pm. For more details see the Events page.
