January Public Meeting #bbcstargazing

For our first public meeting of 2011 we welcome back guest speaker Chris Jones who will be giving talk titled:

Starting with the very basics and describing the telescopes that are available to the modern amateur, the various mounting designs, accessories and eyepieces, Chris will give his own views and information on the pros and cons of each.

He’ll also tell about his purchase of, and experience with, two 18-inch  telescopes. There should be something for all levels of astronomy experience – from the most novice to the expert…and especially lots for those with those suffering with the dreaded aperture fever.

The public meeting takes place at the Henry Dixon Hall, Rivenhall End on Wednesday 19th January at 7:30pm. Entry is £4. For further details, see the Events page.
