Notley Stargazing – 11th June 2011

Join us on Saturday 11th June at the Great Notley Discovery Centre and Country Park for a spot of Stargazing.

This time we’ll be starting at around midday and the star is question is our own Sun. We’ll be letting people look at the Sun through a telescope. It’s completely safe as we’ll be using special solar filters – hopefully you’ll get to see sunspots and solar prominences. You can even try taking your very own solar astro-image through a telescope with your camera or mobile phone.

Everyone is welcome – come along to the Discovery Centre and see the Sun!

Please note that these events are strictly about observing the sky – in the event that the weather is cloudy and we cannot see the Sun, please be aware that the session will be called off. We will try to update this page if that happens.

For more information about our stargazing events in 2011 and how to get to Great Notley Discovery Centre, see the Notley Stargazing page.
