June Public Meeting – Observing Techniques, Hints and Tips
Dr Lee Sproats has been an astronomy enthusiast since he was taken to see Star Wars at the age of seven. He subsequently went on to become a professional astronomer, at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory. He is now an advisor in UK astronomy, working for Green Witch, and deals with everyone from absolute beginners through to international research institutes.
In this session Lee Sproats will cover how to choose and use the necessary equipment (from beginners upwards) and how to get the best from your equipment, as well as the practical aspects of observing and what to know about the things you can see in the night sky.
The public meeting takes place at the Henry Dixon Hall, Rivenhall End on Wednesday 15th June at 7:30pm. For further information, see the Events page.
