February Public Lecture – “Astronomical sightseeing in Arizona”
On Wednesday 15th February, we welcome back guest speaker Chris Jones who will be giving us a tour of Arizona’s astronomical sights and wonders.
For more than a thousand years, humans have been observing the night sky from the American Southwest. Modern tourists have fantastic opportunities to learn about those observations and directly experience landforms that are seen across the solar system. Holiday snaps with an astronomical twist!
The lecture is open to everyone, all are welcome. It takes place at the Henry Dixon Hall, Rivenhall End on Wednesday 15th February at 7:30pm. Entry is £4 for non-members. For further information, see the Events page.
